Unknown Flower. ID needed.

Can anyone identify this purple flower? Everyone I've asked has never seen it before.
The plant is in Glasgow, Scotland and was a present. I'm in Sydney Australia
and was asked to identify it.

Looks like Celosia caracas. Common name Cockscomb. Often sold in Garden Centres as a houseplant in the U.K.

Thanks for the quick reply, Silver surfer. I have seen Cockscombs before but not like this one.
