    Hi,

This evergreen is growing in my sisters yard in Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island. I have not been able to identify it from various web searchs and was wondering if someone on this forum might be able to help.

I have attached a few pictures of the tree, flowers, cones and needle clusters.

The tree is 12 or so feet tall and likely 20+ years old. The flowers are a beautiful blueish purple, with 5 needle clusters.

    Thanks in advance.

    Richard

Rocky Mountains Bristlecone Pine Pinus aristata. Nice specimen.

BTW, the little white resin spots on the needles are normal in this species, it doesn't indicate any disease.
