Its an Echinopsis hybrid lurking in the shadows!!!!

Cactus is still cactus, singular or plural.

"Cacti" was originally an old, now obsolete, family name for the Cactaceae not plural for Cactus. The name "Cactus" is Greek in origin and is the same singular or plural, even in Botanical "Latin".
