    Oregano? Is the foliage aromatic when you crush it? If so, of what?

    Closeups of the leaves and flowers would help us immensely....

    Given your location and the plant's size I'd guess it's a Salvia.

    I was thinking that also, it looks like that native one (S. leucophylla?) that is in general commerce.

    Yes it is an oregano. Just had it confirmed by a nursery. Thank you!

    The one I was thinking of is S. clevelandii.
