Unknown Asteraceae

    Found this growing near a springs in northern Arizona. The area surrounding spring is slightly alkaline. Was thinking Machaeranthera sp. but nothing seems to match...the phyllaries are unique in that they are rounded and ciliate (you can see their membranous aspect and shape in first picture), which doesn't match any of the Machaeranthera I've seen. Any help would be great!

    Agree. Used to be Centaurea repens.
