Hi, My friend returned from Africa with a bunch of plant photos and I couldn't identify this one. Thanks for your help, Brad
Hm... maybe something in the Loranthaceae family???? (Because the flower structure is very similar to Phragmanthera or to other Loranthaceae species: http://www.plantsystematics.org/imgs/jdelaet/r/Loranthaceae_Phragmanthera_usuiensis_31706.html)
I'm curious as to whether it's actually a shrub, or if it's a liana of some sort - the branch paths and leaf shape are similar to the vine crossing in the background....
The shrub is from the Usambare Mountains in north-eastern Tanzania. I'm pretty sure it is a shrub, but I'll ask my friend and get back to you. Thanks, Brad
