I want names of plants, any plants when you touch it closes. I had one in Michigan but when I moved to Texas the plant died. When my kids touched the plant the plant will close and then later on will open again.. Please give me names.

 

Mimosa pudica does this. Common name sensitive plant.

You are right I wonder if they do well inside with an artificial light.
