Hello, I was hoping someone could help out a friend of mine. She found some interesting growth(s) on a tree that was until recently submerged in a lake. She says that they are "hard and slimy" (they may even be an egg sac of some sort?) I have attached a picture. She lives in Tennessee. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!
