This plant was given to me a couple of years ago by an elderly friend. She could not remember the name of it and I can't find it in any of the books I have. Anyone able to give me some info? Thanks

That's a great picture - was making it seem like a face with dreads intentional?

Check this thread for an extended answer. But in short, it's a contorted selection of Hoya carnosa.

It looks like a Hoya or a wax plant of sorts.

    Hi,

It's a Hoya Compacta/Hindu Rope Hoya. The form is stunning, isn't it? They're really very cute plants. I've been trying to grow the variegated type for about 1 year and am still struggling with it! I have other Hoyas who don't give me this kind of behavioral problem, so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong! What kind of light is it receiving? What kind of soil is it planted in? How often do you water it?

    Thanks,
    GH
