    Can you identify this berry; found in June in San Gabriel Mts, LA County, USA.

    Solanum sp, possibly Solanum xanti.
    Would be good idea to show the leaves, too...

    The leaves are similar to Solanum xanti but very brown and dried up compared to some purple nightshade blooming nearby. Did not put the two together. Thank you.
