Identification: Unhappy plant

    I inherited this plant from a former officemate last fall and I seem to be slowly killing it. I know she didn't water it often, but I don't know what it is, and I can't figure out how to take care of it. I'd love some advice on how to revive this sad plant.

    Well, for a start, I'd give the poor thing a thorough watering!
