Mike Mander is a local photographer who has been experimenting with digital infrared photography on natural (particularly desert) and garden landscapes. I find the technique very interesting, particularly when it is applied to the UBC Botanical Garden. He has kindly given permission to use a thumbnail as an example of his work:
