Hello, aquired this last year from a batch of alike plants grown from japanese seeds.I wasn't immediately struck on it especially as twice the price of palmatums but my sister insisted she buy it for me as early xmas present. Don't know if there's anything unusual about it or maybe it's completely typical of species,as they are the only Siebolds I've ever seen ha ha(such a sheltered life)..are Sieboldianum seedlings very variable like palmatums? Was told it has a habit of turning bright yellow in May which he put down to the sugars, but I haven't experienced this yet. Anyway, now I've had it a while,it's grown on me and the fall colours are nice, should look lovely in autumn when it's bigger.
