Of the six pictures, two plants are represented, the first plant being represented in the first two pictures and the second plant being represented in the remaining four pictures. Both plants were found in central Florida.

Don't know about the tall green ones, but I'm almost sure the small pink ones growing below them are Virginia Meadow Beauty, Rhexia virginica. The tall ones look sort of like a Conyza. Flowers would help. I'll bet the power company is familiar with them.

The second one might be a Baccharis sp. The one around here is B. halimifolia, which dies out each winter. They are supposed to be evergreen further south.

I agree with Rhexia virginica L. and Baccharis halimifolia L.; they look much like the plants I saw and posted and seem the most likely species of the genera Rhexia and Baccharis on the USDA's Plants web site. Rhexia mariana L., though, does appear similar to Rhexia virginica L.. If I see the first one in flower, I'll photograph and post it.

    Thanks again, tipularia.

I do know what the tall plants are. I thought they looked familiar. My dogs used to come home reeking with the strong odor of this one, and it took awhile to figure out what they were getting into. It is Dog Fennel Eupatorium capillifolium.
