One is a dwarf evergreen shrub of some kind, one looks like a daylily, but it's not. Any idea what these are?

Hard to be sure from these shots but first is probably Ilex crenata 'Helleri'.

The second one sure looks like Agapanthus, but whatever it is is a perennial here, so I don't think it can be Agapanthus since we're in zone 6. Do you think there might be a hybrid variety of this hardy enough to weather zone 6?

According to the research I've done on this plant, it's only perennial outside through zone 8. It wasn't just planted, it's been there for years. Is it possible Agapanthus can survive outside here?

There is more than one "it", with hardiness varying.
