Two plants I can't figure out.

    Greetings, I am new here, but I hope you can help me with these two plants.

    The first one is a vine growing on and around an old barbed wire fence near my home. It is mixed in with the honeysuckle, but you should be able to tell the difference. This vine has darker colored leaves.

    The second is a shrub or small tree. I don't have a picture of the whole plant yet.

    Gelsemium and Rhododendron, the latter one of the eastern North American deciduous azalea species.

    I do believe you are correct. I think the second one is Rhododendron canescens specifically.
