Two mystery shrub/trees

    Please help me identify these shrubs/trees. A friend took a picture of the hypericum-looking flower off a plant he described as a weird tree. The second picture is of a large weedy shrub that grows here. Thanks!

    Hi nokamoto, #1 Clerodendrum trichotomum, possibly var. fargesii, , tends to sucker.

    Hawthorn (Crataegus). The common one of this type is C. monogyna.
