    Alright, two more:

The first one is growing up in my garden (inherited from the last owner, no idea what was in it). The photo was taken about a month ago, and since then the largest of them has a large number of small purple flowers (5 petals, surrounding a purple and white petal that stands up.

The second is growing by the side of my house.

Both plants have a fairly strong scent when you crush the leaves, but I've never been able to describe scent very well.

First one resembles Larkspur (Consolida sp.).

The second one resembles Lavender (Lavendula sp) of the type that is grown here in Ecuador.

Hmm.. yep. I looked up Larkspur online to get some more photos, and that's definitely it.... the flowers are pretty at least.

And I'll keep an eye on the other one to see what, if any, flowers bloom. These plants are in Maryland, so I'm not sure if anything native to Ecuador would survive up here...

    It's not native here.

The second one makes me think of Helychrisum italicum, which has a strong smell of curry.
