Two Alberta Trees to ID

    Hi, I bought a new place that had some trees planet from the previous owners and I'm not sure what they are.
    Any help is greatly appreciated. First three photos of one tree, next three of the other.

    First tree looks like an Ulmus, U. americana or a similar species.

    Second is strange, as the leaf in pic #5 does not match the foliage in pic #6. The foliage in #6 looks like Salix lucida or Salix lasiandra to me (or perhaps Salix pentandra, if that has been introduced to the area). Not sure what the single leaf is though.

    Whoops you are correct that is the wrong leaf for the second set of pictures. Here is the correct one

    Thanks! Yep, that supports one of the Salix lucida / Salix lasiandra / Salix pentandra group.
