Tulips underplant with pansies, How?

    I am planning to use a container to plant tulips and pansies. I know I will put tulips at the bottom about 6-8 inch deep ( but how much space do I plant each bulb? ), and pansies on the top (do I need to worry where is the bulbs?). It seems like a dump question:) Please help!
