    AKA Tsuga canadensis 'Golden Duke’

A superb new evergreen with glowing golden yellow foliage on graceful, upright, pyramidal arching branches, and improved sun tolerance over other gold hemlocks. A stunning container specimen offering year-round interest in woodland and rock gardens. Bright yellow-orange winter color.

Planted in March 2021, picture taken December 2021. It put on about 1/4” of growth during the spring 2021 growing season. Many of the needles turned brown and dropped during the record June 2021 heatwave.
