Identification: Trying to identify

    we have these mushrooms groing in our property in fairly open area under lodge pole.
    Can find any info so far.

    Looks like Armillaria sp.

    To me these look a lot like Pholiota squarrosa, but the stems are not as scaly as usual. They could be Armillaria mellea (or one of its relatives), but the caps look too scaly. A spore print will easily decide: the former is cinnamon brown, and the latter is white.
