Hello...i'm trying to identify this gorgeous flower blossom. My sister in law bought it and can't remeber the name.. Don't know if it's a perennial or annual??? Thanks
THIS BLOSSOM WAS HUGE. APPROX. 12" across/ Plant itself was tall 3ft or so.

It's definitely some kind of hibiscus, but heck if I know what kind. At least it gives you somewhere to start. I have a lovely hardy hibiscus (Rose of Sharon) in my front yard that's been blooming like crazy for months now. They're lovely flowers but not nearly as big as the one you're describing, so you definitely don't have one of those.

Being that big it would have to be Hibiscus moscheutos.
