    Trapa cultivation

According to RD A-Z Encyclopedia: Grow the water chestnut in loamy soil in full light at no less than ten degrees C. or plant in shallow water rich in nutrients in full sun. It could be that more light or warmer conditions are needed. What is the source of your corms? If they are from food market, it could be that they are contaminated with a fungus that then grows in the moist environment.
