Is this an actual tropical plant? If so are there any ideas what type it is? I've been searching for a month and haven't been able to identify this.

The leaf structure looks strikingly similar to some cryptanthus I have here. Let me see if I have any pictures of them.

There are multiple plants in each pot. I know very little about these plants, I just mist them and keep them in a bright room, I could be doing the wrong thing though. They seem to be doing well after a month in my care though.

I took two more pictures of individual pictures. I couldn't pull an individual out, because its roots had already attached themselves to my moss and soil mixture.

Wow, so I was right? What are the chances!!
These plants are beautiful, and so far seem to be pretty easy. I highly recommend them. Maybe someone here can provide actual care information, I would find that very useful!
