    Please help.

    Purchase at Grocery Outlet.
    Tag states "Tropical Plant"

They are compound, glossy leaves. There are dark green, slightly opposing 5 pairs, each is elliptic, 2" long by 1" wide, NO SERRATION ON EDGES. The four compound leaves are slightly bulbous at bottom and are mottled camoflouged in a brownish/purple along length. Appears like new shoots/bulbs are sprouting next to old leaves.

I would really appreciate it if you could give me an idea of what this is.

Looks like Zamioculcas zamiifolia, "ZZ plant." It's a relative novelty, but a proven one: it needs very little water and doesn't demand a lot of light. Although it grows slowly, it can eventually reach massive proportions.

    Thanks Climber. That's it exactly!

I saw a photo of "ZZ" somewhere else on the web but thought my plant was not that as the leaves on my plant look much further apart. The images you sent are much better and confirmed the ID! Thanks so much!
