I am interested in getting a book that covers tropical plants - specifically ID and cultural needs. I want to use it mostly for growing information. Can anyone make any recommendations?

Here are a few I was looking at:

Tropical Flowering Plants: A Guide to Identification and Cultivation - Llamas

The Tropical Look: An Encyclopedia of Dramatic Landscape Plants - Riffle

Plants for Tropical Landscapes: A Gardener's Guide - Rauch

    Thank you.

I have this one and use it regularly. Full color illustrations of many (not all) listings. This uses the USDA zone plant adaptability (good or bad -you decide) but details each listing very well.
At the rear of the book a glossary along with plants for specific situations. Recommended.

    Cheers, LPN.

Thank you for the reply. I have been to many bookstores to actually view them in person but am only able to find them online.

    Hi,
It is hard to find but Amazon.com seems to have a few new copies and some used. The hardcover is VERY expensive but the paperback version is around $50, I think. Good luck
