Trimming Root Stock Stub

    Since almost every JM you buy is grafted, can you safely remove the root stock stub remaining once thee graft is established?

    No point in hanging onto a stub whether it's rootstock or not. Just be sure to leave the branch collar undamaged. Do not flush cut.
