trimming phal roots?

    i was just wandering, my phal roots are very very long, just hanging out of the pot, is it possible i can trim them back a little???

    NO. Repot the plant and trim off any dead section of the stem with any attached dead rotting roots.

    Yes you should cut back some of the roots and always,always cut off the dead sections of roots before repotting otherwise the bacteria/fungus that is rotting the roots will spread to the healthy ones. when repotting remember to soak your orchid mix in water over night, i find this helps a great deal.
