About 4 years ago, I planted one Wichita Blue Juniper to complete my foundation plantings. I live in a single story home, and now feel this Blue Juniper is getting a little to tall for the space, and I wouldn't want it to get any bigger than it is now. I assumed I'd be able to trim it back, but I'm finding info on the internet that states this is not a good idea. Should I trim it back (I want to take off about 6 inches all around), or should I try to move it and replace it with something similar in color that doesn't get so tall.

If it's important to know, my foundation plants sit as followed starting from the left: Hinoki Cypress, 4 PJM rhododendrons and lastly the blue juniper. The plants in front of these balance the blue and the green of the trees nicely.

Thanks in advance for any advise.
