British Columbia: TreeFest Coquitlam Sept 21,2008

Treefest 2008 will be held on September 21 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Riverview Hospital Grounds located at 2601 Lougheed Highway, in Coquitlam.

Bring the entire family to this free annual celebration of trees on the Riverview Hospital Lands. The festival site is located at the Henry Esson Young Building, accessible from Lougheed Highway, and has free on-site parking.

Activities include:

* Blackberry tea and shortcake in Finnie's Garden
* Children's crafts and activities
* Children's tree walk
* Community displays
* Live entertainment, including children's performers
* Art exhibit and sale
* Heritage building tour (building exteriors only)
* Plant sale
* Community beautification reception
* Food concession
* Bonsai demonstration
* SPARC Radio Museum and Riverview Hospital Historical Museum open for tours
