tree with fruit that looks like a red lizard head

    This is in the garden of a house I am buying in western France on a permanently south facing aspect. Has been allowed to take over a large part of the lawn but only appears to be one plant. Hope the photos help.

    With good reason, too! It will flower much better if never pruned, as Magnolias do not respond well to pruning.
