Location of specimen is Birmingham, Alabama. Transplanted from a neighbor's yard and I have had them for about 3 years or so. I am a novice as far as using the right terminology for plant identification, so bear with me. It has a slender green stalk with leaves at the top. Small purplish buds form at the very top at the end of each season and then bloom out into leaves in spring. The leafs are huge. I didn't want to tear any of them off and measure them precisely, so I just kind of stretched one out with my hand and got a rough estimation on size. Width of leaf = 19 inches Depth from end of stem to tip of leaf = 12 inches I have 6 or 7 photos and would greatly appreciate any help. If I left out some type of important information, which I am practically certain that I did, please tell me I will do my best to get it. Thanks, Altie
