Anyone have an idea of the value of a 20 ft. Nootka?

Just like with antiques, a tree's value can sometimes be variable... what you actually paid for it (but at what age.. a seedling could have cost you only $10), whether it's the premier 'specimen' tree on your property and would seriously devalue your curb appeal if gone, whether your sick child uses it to play games (the 'witch' tree), whether there's a rare bird nesting in it, how long you have had it, etc. etc. and of course how healthy and hard to replace it is. Or you can google some tree farms and get a price.

If its an insurance thing, you can hire a consulting arborist to prepare a report and valation statement for you. It will take in to account the replacement cost of thetree, cost of actually doing the work and damage to the surroinding garden area(s).
