When my drip irrigation system was put in years ago, the 1/8" hose line to the new 1 gal. shrubs and trees in my shrub bed was adequate. Now my shrubs are way bigger. I'm assuming I need something to each of 4 corners of each shrub, but I've read the roots go out at least 3 times the diameter of the shrub or tree. How can I best cover the area? I have 12 shrubs/trees in an area 65' X 15'. In some cases I'm sure the roots are also out into the adjoining lawn. They include 2 red prince weigela, a tamarisk tree, nashiki willow, 3 dogwood bushes, a smoke bush, 10' diameter rock daphne, star magnolia, etc.
