    Dear exerts!

Could somebody please recommend a good arborist (or him/herself) to advise on a backyard tree planting and carry it out?

We have a challenging situation with nearby power line, gas line, needing fast growing tree with eventual height above 3 floors, easier maintenance (gutters, patios, pruning, etc), limited light until tree gets height, etc. I suspect these are common city challenges. An old big tree was just removed in the same area.

Please see picture. It needs to go behind the tree with reddish leaves & eventually hide the ugly electrical pole, while limiting garbage to neighboring patio and roofs.

How many years would it take for the preferred tree to reach 3-4 floor height there if we start with a relatively mature tree suitable for planting. 15 years? 20 years?

Any tips on what to consider with such planting are welcome too.

    Regards,

Maybe you can fit a Serbian spruce in there, to hide the pole etc. Expect it to grow 1' per year or less. Situation does not appear to be suitable for a large- and fast-growing tree, as it is the spruce might be 60' tall some day - I would not put one where it could conflict with wires.
