Tree in Valemount BC backyard

    One of the purple-leaf crabapple (Malus) cultivars.

    The ripe fruit is edible when cooked (jam / jelly), and also good for attracting birds.

    Thanks so much for the information, I haven't seen this type of tree before, I'm glad that it is edible when cooked! I love that it attracts birds! :)
