Tree in Stanley Park

    Walking around Lost Lagoon and saw this tree with a unusual seed/nut (I think), almost looks like a lychee nut. Anyone have any idea what species it is.

    Still close enough that I should have known lol.
    Yes that would be nice if they mapped out the trees, would make for a nice project.

    Just to add, Cornus kousa fruit is edible, and can be delicious. Note that C. nuttallii fruit is NOT edible, though.

    Thanks, Michael. I did not know that, only remembered that dogwood fruits are edible. I have to amend my memory on that.
