I live in Sacramento, CA and I have a tree in my yard that I can't identify. Any ideas?

Pictures are too small to tell, but it might be some type of Ligustrum, Privet.

Sorry, hopefully you can see these better. This tree is taller than the telephone pole wires. Does Privet grow that tall? I think it does have small dark purple 'berries' in the fall.

It is slightly different to the "common" privet we grow here, the leaves are darker and waxier for a start. Maybe it is one of the Chinese or Japanese species?
