    Hello,
I would like some assistance in identification of my tree. I have well .. when I purchased my house, I tried to take care of my tree, and while it has gotten healthier since I have started working with it.. I just was using basic techniques (and probably wrong ones at that) to trim and keep it neat. However, through unforeseen issues, it has needed some massive pruning to repair some damage.
I would like to take care of it properly.

Does anyone know what this is? (the white card is a standard business card for size reference)

    Please let me know.

Flower buds look like those of Styrax japonicus.
