    Location:
    Tiruvannamalai, INDIA, but I travel a lot!
    This tree was growing in a clearing in a predominately Redwood forest, beside a dry creek at the foothills of Mt Tam, Larkspur, Marin Co. CA (Nth of San Francisco)

    thanks Ron. So this one and post 302792 are the same tree. I thought the leaves looked quite different... although they both have 5 fingers. Goodness, it's quite a complicated business, identifying trees! They seem to vary quite a bit.
