    Hello,

We are wondering what type of tree this is. We are in Central NH and I have a clump on my property, but also saw some growing down along the river bank. Its not a common forest tree here. The wood itself is very soft, a pruning saw cuts through very easily. It seems to re-seed easily as well - almost like an invasive.

FYI- Leaves are turning yellow/brown like most ALL vegetation around here, its been a terribly wet summer.

    Thanks!

    Thank you, Ron

Now, after reading up on it, I know why this tree (Linden? Basswood?) made a roaring buzzing sound last month - its a happy place for bees.
