So I was out spending a few days taking my better half to Disneyland, when I realize I am in tree heaven and took snaps of a few that would fit my unfinished yard in various places!

If you could be so kind as to help me figure out the names, I would appreciate it.

    Fraxinus

    All will grow larger.

WOW, that was fast .... you my friend are awesome!

Any recommendations for a nice visual barrier along south side of yard to keep two-story neighbors at bay?

(Area is approx. 90ft long by approx. 8-10ft wide of soil)

Do a mixed planting of shrubs recommended for screening and successful in your region. See plant selection section near front of Sunset WESTERN GARDEN BOOK for ideas.

Other collections in southern California with labeled trees and shrubs you can visit for planting ideas are the Los Angeles State and County Arboretum and the Huntington Botanical Garden.

There is also a good labeled tree display on the Capitol grounds in Sacramento, where many of them are large and old.

Another good tree and shrub collection can be see at the University of California Arboretum in Davis.

#4 looks like a Podocarpus to me. Has the photo been changed?
