Hello, I am brand new to gardening and have recently acquired a large property is South West Ukraine near Carpathian Mountains. I have a small orchard of apple trees and have found that several trees have fungus growing from the bark. Photos are attached.
I would appreciate very much if I could receive information to enable me to understand the cause of the fungi and what it is exactly, what causes it and as much other info as possible.

Many thanks in anticipation of your kind messages.

I hope a real expert will come along, but here's a start:
These are Polypores and I'm pretty sure it means the trees that they are on are dying.
