    Hi,
Does anyone know this tree? An Israeli botanist/farmer is unable to identify it and would greatly appreciate any identification. Thanks!

I'm going to take a guess and say Eucalyptus. Huge genus, so not much help as to species, but I thought I'd try.

Any description of size of tree or type of flowers?

My first instinct is a member of the Fabaceae, and perhaps Millettia, but I haven't been able to find a photograph that matches the fruit from that tree.

Do the fruit definitely belong with the foliage? Looks a bit like Fabaceae family leaves, and Ziziphus fruit.

The fruit definitely does belong with the foliage. No description of the flowers for the tree. Some have suggested that it might belong to Elaeagnus. Any thoughts?

The fruit does have some similarity to Elaeagnus, but it doesn't have the tiny silvery scales that Elaeagnus fruit usually have; and the leaves are way off (Elaeagnus leaves are simple, not compound). So safe to rule that out!

Are there any Bursera that get those small thin leaves? Some do have the identical peeling bark w/ beige over green, and very similar fruit (depending on species). They also have that horizontal cherry-tree-looking bark like this one.
