Identification: tree 9 (Juniper)

    Location:
    Tiruvannamalai, INDIA, but I travel a lot!
    Learning to recognise trees by their bark. These photos were taken in Yosemite National Park. I would appreciate help identifying them. Hopefully I have the right bark with it's corresponding leaf!

    Juniperus sp., most likely J. occidentalis subsp. australis, but could be J. californica.

    Yes, this was spotted in California. Would they have australis there?

    Yes; 'australis' here means 'southern', by comparison with J. occidentalis subsp. occidentalis, which occurs further north in Washington and Oregon.
