    Tiruvannamalai, INDIA, but I travel a lot!
    This was found growing in a Redwood forest beside a river in Yosemite National Park, California, between 1,500 and 2,00 meters.

    An oak Quercus with galls. Probably Quercus wislizenii, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

    Probably a different sort of gall. Different gall insects produce different types of galls.

    How strange. been seeing a lot of odd shaped galls in australia also.

    I think Q. chrysolepis, based on habitat and leaf surface appearance.
