I'm interested in transplanting dozens of 21-30 inch sitka spruces, does anybody have any info? this is for a court ordered restoration project so price may not be an objection
Should be OK to do it now. Make sure you dig wide to get a good rootball - spruce roots tend to be shallow, but wide-spreading. May be simpler to buy in ready-prepared forestry planting stock though.
