I have a large clump of Sanguinaria canadensis which I would like to divide and move to a different location. When is the best time to do that? Immediately after blooming is finished? After the foliage dies back?

I also would like to move a clump of Trillium sessile to another location. I hear Trilliums can be temperamental about being disturbed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

Well, I sure wouldn't do it now. If you catch them as the foliage is deteriorating at the end of their season you won't interfere with foliage development and flowering.
