Our apple tree has got these caterpillars ALL over it. This is the first place I have come to ask my question...How do I get rid of them without using harmful pesticides? I can't cut them out, they're right in the middle of the tree.

Also, our other apple tree has little black caterpillars that have ABSOLUTLY eaten every leaf on it. Again, what should I do? Thanks for any information or suggestions!!!

I can't take a pic of it but I will describe it as best as I can.
I took a closer look at them and they are actually a light brown, with a black head and every segment has a small black spot on the left and right sides. They only seemed translucent because when they are in their webs they just blend right in. Some of them are just hanging from branches. They are a little less than an inch long. I think that's all. When I am able, I will take a pic. Thanks for your advice.
